Here are some things you can try if there aren’t events showing up on your feed:
Expand your search radius. Go to Filters in the top right of your Event Feed and increase the search radius. This could help if you’re in an area that does not have a large user base on the app yet.
Add more activity filters. Go to Filters and select more activity types. This will significantly increase the chances for more events to be displayed on your Activity Feed and you may discover something new.
Create your own events. There may be other people around waiting to join an event that you create so take the first step. It’s fun!
Tell your friends! Tribe Outdoors is an effective platform for creating and sharing events, even with only a few people. This is your opportunity to grow a tribe in your own area with the people you want.

If the event creator is a “no-show” and did not delete the event and/or did not make any attempt to communicate in advance that they would be unable to attend their own event, here are your options:
1. Let it slide. Perhaps an emergency came up and they did not have a chance to cancel the event.
2. Boycott them. You never have to attend one of their events ever again.
Any specific skill levels, certifications or other requirements should be stated in the “Details” section of the event. If you have any questions you can also post a comment in the “Group Chat” section of the event or contact the event creator directly.
Bummer. Here are a few tips to help increase participation around your events:
Create events at least 48 hours in advance. Give your community a chance to plan around your event.
Creative titles work well. As people scan the Event Feed, the title of your event can pique someones interest to tap in and learn more.
High quality photos. The best thing you can do to increase participation is to add a high-quality photo for your event. People want to join events that look FUN!
It’s all in the details. Sometimes the Details (or lack thereof) can make all the difference in the world.
Tell your friends. Perhaps you’re in an area that does not have a large Tribe user base yet. Start by telling your friends about your event and have them download the app so you’re all on it together.
You can join an event by tapping into the event from your Event Feed. From the “Details” screen, select the “Join” button on the event image. In the same way, you can remove yourself from an event.
Yes, if you have Push Notifications enabled then you will be notified of any change to the details of an event you have joined, including if it is canceled. To ensure Push Notifications are enabled, go to Settings on your iPhone and make sure Notifications for Tribe Outdoors are turned ON.
You can communicate with the event creator in the “Group Chat” section of the event up to one hour after the start time of the event. This would be a good place to identify a specific landmark or meeting point. While it’s okay to provide general information (i.e., I’m wearing a blue sweatshirt, red hat, etc..), please refer to our Safety Tips and do not provide any personal information (i.e., phone number) until you have met and are comfortable with providing that information.
Make sure you have the latest version of Tribe Outdoors and Facebook and try force-quitting the app. If the issue persists, just delete the app from your phone, download it again and reinstall it. As long as you don’t delete your account, this won’t delete your existing profile.
Go to your Profile tab and select the Settings icon in the top left. Select “Send us an email” under the Help section. Edit the subject line of your email to “Delete Account Request”. This will delete your account, profile, etc… Deleting the app does not delete your account.
